Cystic Hygroma
Key points
- Cystic hygroma is a congenital lymphatic lesion (lymphangioma), typically found in the neck and classically on the LEFT side.
- Most are evident at birth, and around 90% present before 2 years of age.
- Do not confuse with BRANCHIAL CYST: an oval, mobile cystic mass, typically presenting in early adulthood, arising between sternocleidomastoid and the pharynx.
